Elsie Lange is a folk-pop singer/songwriter from Melbourne and originally from Alice Springs, a lot of what she writes grapples with the distance between the city and the desert, exploring what it means to be confused and very far from home. Her songs are light-hearted and sometimes a serious exploration of love and love lost, belonging and all of the complexities of being a woman.

Theyโ€™re a little messy, like me, and the album tells a story a bit like I do โ€“ I meander a bit but I get there.

The story is this: Iโ€™m (weโ€™re) a person who gets anxious. We can hate and love ourselves. We can live in our heads between a desert and a city. We are fickle and strong and caring and careless. We are lonely, we are full of love, we are learning.โ€
