Hi, some strange connections today on the show from the Centre across the globe and back.  Two weeks ago the largest earthquake in Australia in 15 years was recorded near Pukatja in the APY Lands (north west South Australia).  Three earthquakes have hit Mexico in the last month.  Strong drain smells wafted into the station not long after I read out information about the Bald Archy prize winner for 2012 (a spoof of the national Archibald art prize) Allie Campbell for her cartoons of Julia Gillard and Tony Abbot mounted in bedpans!  And, last but definitely not least, my guest, Tolley took us on a wild musical adventure from his Greek musical roots, to Cambodia, Israel via the US and back to Oz with the latest release from The Dirty Three.  Here is the track list if you wish to investigate further:

KAYHAN KALHOR AND ALI BAHRAMI FARD – I will not stand alone (dedicated to Julia Gillard and Tony Abbott and their portraits)
MIGHTY SPARROWS – No more rocking
LOS DES ABAJOS – Ce Sera from their new album Actitud Calle – great Mexican Ska Band

ANESTAS DELIAS – O PONOS TU PREZAKIA (the pain of the junkie) (from 1936 Athens)
IOANNIS HALKIAS – Minore tu teke
ANASTASIA MOUTSATSOU – Pino Pino
GEORGE DELARAS – Son Axizemia Kaliteri Agalia  (Tolley’s favourite singer/songwriter – check him out – lots of videos on the web including this collaboration with Al Di Meola

KHMER JAZZ FUSION – Sobay Chant
