The Alice Springs Turf Club has just announced Nicole Simpson as their 2026 Face of the Ladbrokes Alice Springs Cup Carnival Ambassador. Both Nicole and board member Nicole Walsh came on the Brekky Show to talk about the role and the great events this weekend - Saturday 2 May sees the Alice Springs Toyota Pioneer Sprint and a Community event with a Family Fun Day incorporating activities for the children including Fashions on the Field. On Arvos with Andy, we had Michael Baini. Michael is a presenter on Saltwater Radio in Darwin as well as being an accomplished musician. He was here in Alice Springs to support Enbarr at the Top Half Folk Festival this weekend.  Michael other skills are he is a vinyl DJ producer who aims to amplify admirable artists across the airwaves. By profession Michael is a music therapist in the NT and a music maker with the band Sugarbooger.

Drawing inspiration from the folk traditions of her Gaelic-Anglo heritage, Naarm-based artist, Jessie Monk is obsessed with old myths, poetry, stories, and musical motifs from various traditions and lineages throughout the ages.
