Elders and community members are calling on the government to halt and properly consider heritage protection applications for Barrambin—also known as Victoria Park—before work begins on Brisbane’s proposed Olympic stadium.

These urgent calls come despite the federal environmental department recently clearing the stadium proposal, with works expected to begin as soon as the site is transferred to the Games authority this June.
