Kathryn Kelly from The Independent and Peaceful Australia Network (IPAN) joins the Big Brekky Show to highlight human rights abuses in Palestine and the urgent need for humanitarian aid, for which IPAN is advocating. She also discusses increasing US troop presence in the NT. IPAN is a network of organisations, community groups, trade unions, peace and anti-war organisations, and concerned individuals from around Australia that support an independent Australian foreign policy based on peaceful resolution of international conflicts. IPAN builds awareness, dialogue and pressure to change foreign policy, and has been heavily involved in advocating for whistleblowers such as Julian Assange and David McBride.

In the early hours of 27 November, a blockade was undertaken by a loose collective of Arrernte Traditional Owners, health workers and concerned community members, Mparntwe for Palestine, that is demanding the permanent closure of Pine Gap and the withdrawal of the Australian Government's support for Israel's genocidal occupation of Palestine. This time two protestors were secured to a concrete barrel on Hat Rd, one of whom the Big Brekky team spoke with, Tommy as well as with Declan Furber Gillick, an Arrernte writer who was at the scene.
