Volunteer Checklist – To become an 8CCC volunteer, please be aware that evidence of the following must be provided.
- 8CCC Membership
- A copy of your Photo ID
- A copy of your Ochre Card (Working With Children Clearance)
- Volunteer Agreement signed and submitted
- Proof of completion: the online CBAA Codes of Practice test
- Proof of completion: the online CMTO Media Law training module
- Proof of completion: the CMTO Introduction into Making Great Radio course
- A headshot
- A presenter bio
- A program bio (if applicable)
- A signed Access Agreement

As an 8CCC Volunteer, I Agree To:
1. Be Punctual and Reliable
* Arrive on time for my scheduled shift or event.
* If I am unable to attend a shift, I will notify the 8CCC Operations Coordinator, Station Manager or designated 8CCC supervisor as early as possible.
2. Maintain a Respectful and Friendly Attitude
* I understand that while volunteering, I am a representative and a public face of 8CCC Community Radio and agree to act in a way that positively reflects the reputation, mission, and values of 8CCC while volunteering.
* Treat members of the public, fellow volunteers, staff, and stakeholders with courtesy, respect, and professionalism at all times.
* Help create a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects the community values of the station.
3. Follow Station Guidelines and Instructions
* Respect and follow the reasonable instructions and decisions of 8CCC management or designated 8CCC supervisor while on duty.
* To be 16 years old or older
* Have completed all required training
* Abide by 8CCC’s code of conduct, policies and procedures as outlined in the 8CCC Handbook.
* Abide by the CBAA Codes of Practice
* Provide a copy of my photo ID (license or passport) to 8CCC management
* I agree to keep organisational information I am privy to during my time at 8CCC confidential, as outlined in the privacy policy
* Give 8CCC Community Radio my permission for my photo to be used in 8CCC social media, reporting and marketing. I am aware I can request for my image not to be used, and that it is my responsibility to request this from management.

I understand that failure to meet these expectations may result in review of my volunteer role and, if necessary, suspension or termination of my volunteer involvement.

Content Proposal (1000 words max.)
Do you have an idea for a radio program, series, or podcast? Or for an event or fundraiser? Tell us! The 8CCC Programming Committee review proposals quarterly. You can submit your idea in Word doc. format here. Outline your concept, including a working title and names of participants. Please indicate if your proposal is intended as a live broadcast show, a podcast, a short series, or an event. If your proposal is a podcast or short series please indicate a timeline and total number of episodes. Please outline any training you may require to realise your idea. Queries?
