Position Description
Role
The fun face of the station at community and 8CCC events, the Street Team is 8CCC’s events support team! This is an important role representing 8CCC at events such as live gigs, fundraisers, market stalls, festivals, community days, or outside broadcasts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist 8CCC staff and volunteer teams to deliver fun, organised, and engaging events
- Engage the general public and promote 8CCC’s opportunities, services and events
- Encourage and process 8CCC memberships
- Facilitate vox pops and live recordings with community members
- Assist with the production of live broadcasts (e.g. line up interviews, source content, coordinate participants)
- Assist 8CCC market stalls
- Assist event set-up or pack down
What To Expect
- Time commitment: a 4hour (max) shift
- Contact via email or phone with 8CCC event manager/producer 2 weeks prior to the event
- Receive instruction and support from 8CCC Station Manager or event manager/producer
- Public engagement – reaching out to people, answering questions about 8CCC, advocating the benefits of volunteering at 8CCC, promoting 8CCC’s opportunities, services and events
- Collaboration within the 8CCC team
- Effective communication with 8CCC volunteer teams and staff

Volunteering Conditions
- Has, or has ability to obtain, an Ochre Card
- Abides by 8CCC code of conduct, policies and procedures
- Undertakes 8CCC Induction and enters a Volunteer Agreement
