Its Desert Harmony Time!

From the 3rd-6th of August Tennant Creek will be coming together with the Desert Harmony Festival-And 8CCC will be there to take it on air!

We will be recording audio for our Why Volunteer audio series and would love to speak with volunteers from the Tennant Creek Community. Funded by the Community Broadcasting Foundation this project is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your volunteer work and engage further participants.

Saturday August 4th 1:30-3pm -Studio Visit and 8CCC101

Come visit the 8CCC Radio Studio and find out about the history of 8CCC, Community Broadcasting and how you can get involved.

8CCC 101 is a free one hour orientation with the foundation knowledge needed to take on a role as a volunteer broadcaster.

8CCC’s Tennant Creek Studio is located within the Barkly Regional Arts complex, 65 Staunton St.

Sunday 5th August- Get Your Voice On The Radio!

8CCC will run two audio recording workshops where you can come and record a shout out for broadcast on 102.1fm.

Kunapa Hall:

1-2pm (Adult)

2-3pm (Youth)

We will show you how to use a phone or portable recorder to capture audio in the field for use in broadcast, social media, film or just for fun!

Recordings from the workshop will be used during our Live Broadcast from the festival on Picnic Day!

 

Monday 6th of August- Take it Live!

11am onwards- A workshop on presenting skills for live radio, followed by a chance to go live on air from Picnic Day at the Jurnkkula Arena- introducing live music and reflecting on the festival weekend.
