On Arvos with Andy, we had Samatha Dann with her latest release Wild Child. Rooted in classic country storytelling and driven by a modern Americana edge, Wild Child captures the spirit of independence, resilience, and unapologetic self-belief. Samatha has her roots in Central Australia living away now but has many fond family memories here. 

On Arvos with Andy, we had Cain Gilmore, a CDU music lecturer with students Sally, James, Sonny, and Alan. They are all doing Certificate III in Music designed to refine music skills of artists in sound. The students shared how practical training assists in performance, songwriting, audio recording, and music industry business practices.

Lucinda Moody from Reclink Australia NT has exciting news for people challenged from doing recreation activities due to disabilities, mental health issues, people effected by alcohol and other drugs and Domestic Violence. They are expanding after 2 years and are now running 18 different programs trying to welcome everyone in the community. Reclink Australia is funded Federally by the Department of Health and Aged Care. They are now running programs in Titjikala, Amoonguna, Ntaria and Areyonga.

On Arvos with Andy we had born and raised, NT artist Alice Cotton. Alice’s compelling live presence and distinctive songwriting ‘hits you with the depth and breadth of her storytelling’. Alice Cotton is now on tour in NSW. Her genre-crossing approach appeals to fans of Paul Kelly and Stella Donnelly, while her storytelling roots and down-to-earth humour keeps listeners coming back for more.

On Royston's Sporting Roundup we had the Member for Braitling Mr Josh Burgoyne MLA. Josh has addressed the areas of concern that have been highlighted by the NT Government and the community during this summer period in Central Australia.

Chief Executive Officer of Neighbourhood Watch NT Veronica Larson spoke on Arvos about their two Pop-Up Safety Hubs, which they believe are important to highlight to the greater community ways to look out for our vulnerable population. Of course, the vulnerable population isn't always seniors and can be someone of any age at an increased risk of harm, exploitation or neglect. The campaign encourages our community to increase awareness around our senior and vulnerable population. The two Pop Up Safety Hubs in collaboration with Territory Community Safety and Victims of Crime NT, are on Wednesday and Thursday at Yeperenye from 7.30am. 

On Arvos with Andy, we have Sally Balfour. Sally’ has launched new Christmas track “Fair-weather Friend” which is about to drop on Sunday 7th December at the Railway Club in Darwin. But Sally gives us permission to play it on Arvos. This single is another way to get into this time of the year. Fair-weather Friend dives straight into the emotional complexity of Christmas, the distance, unease, and unspoken tension many of us feel but don’t often talk about. The song is built around exposed piano, dark layered strings, and deep drums that mirror the uneasy rhythm of a Christmas gathering that’s not quite as joyful as it looks on the surface. Sally thought it might resonate with your listeners, especially those who experience the season a little differently.

As we head towards the silly season, Royston Sporting Roundup hosted Katelyn Paterson, the Director of Desert Dietitians, live on the show. Desert Dietitians are one of the leading Nutrition experts in Central Australia who provide realistic nutrition advice and goals to meet your nutrition needs.  Royston discussed how particularly important it is over the holiday period where goals can go out the door when friends and family gather for Christmas celebrations.

Marc Monkey Peckham in collaboration with the Warlpiri people shares the profound music of Crown and Country. This album is part of a powerful and immersive First Nations audiovisual project inviting audiences into the vast desert landscapes and profound ceremonial knowledge of the Warlpiri people. The second single from this powerful project, Palka (Embodiment) tells the story of the Australian continent as the body of the kangaroo, from east coast to west coast, and the songlines and trading routes that cross it as the blood and veins of the kangaroo.

On Arvos with Andy, we had Dr Kelly Lee Hickey. Dr Kelly is part of the Alice Springs Town Council Disability Awards on The International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Dr. Kelly highlighted the great work done by people with a disability who are doing wonderful services in our community. The Mayoral Awards on the 3rd of December are from 3.30pm to 5.30pm followed by the DAS Disco: 6.30 – 9.30 pm all at the Double Tree Hilton.
