Another artist who performed this year at WOMADelaide is American Folk musician Annahstasia who released her debut live album earlier this month. 8CCC has been featuring Annahstasia Live at Glasshaus. This was also her first time touring to Australia & NZ, so for all you lucky ones here, spread the word. This album is a spellbinding and transportive reimagining of 13 works from across ‘Tether’, ‘Surface Tension’, and ‘Revival’. Annahstasia’s ensemble summons orchestral grandeur from impressionistic arrangements, conducted by her exquisite, soulful voice.
Recorded live from Brooklyn, it’s on band camp and streaming everywhere plus also available in limited quantities on a gorgeous double LP vinyl.
