This week’s 8CCC Feature Album comes from Joan & The Giants with their EP The Five Stages of Grief, launched at a sold out Merri Creek Tavern.
The band was formed by Queer front-woman Grace Newton-Wordsworth in 2019, originally from an organic farm down South of Western Australia and now living in Melbourne, Victoria with band members Riley Sutton and Liam Olsen.
Having just made their international debut at SXSW in Austin, Texas landed them an international booking agent working with Steve Zapp at ITB. The band had a huge 2024 supporting global superstars P!NK and Tones & I at Optus Stadium, and have recently toured Australia supporting US pop icon Belinda Carlisle on her 10 show theatre tour. Top it all off, they’ll be supporting The Fray on their sold out December How To Save a Life 20th ANNIVERSARY TOUR. Let us know what you think!
