This week’s Feature Album is a suite of songs by sweethearts, Moongaze’s debut EP is a celebration of love, a call for justice and a hymn to home. Released at the end of April and having just played at The Top Half Folk Festival at Ross River Resort, here is a chance to take the music of Moongaze with you.
Moongaze are Bron Watkins: vocals, guitar, violin, cajon, shaker, and Sophie Collins: vocals, guitar, double bass. Mparntwe-based queer folk/pop duo, their love-powered melodies are crafted in riverbeds for singing to friends under wide desert skies. Inspired by queer and trans joy, social justice, the beauty of our planet, and the importance of fighting for its future, Moongaze deliver heartfelt and thought-provoking messages interwoven with strings, hand percussion, and soaring vocal harmonies.
