Old Timers Traeger Museum have come on board as an Organisational Member of 8CCC!
The Museum opened in 1966 and was named after inventor of the pedal radio,
Alfred Traeger.
We visited the Museum recently to see what they have been up to and spoke with Ian Chisholm, pictured above with Ruby Hamlyn and Robbie D:
In 1966 the museum was created by John Blakeman, who began collecting items connected with the people of Central Australia. Since then the collection has continued to grow with donations of items from the community.
Staffed by Volunteers from Old Timers Village, their unique collection is open to the public daily from 2-4pm with an old world entrance fee of $2.
The Museum operates from May through till October.
Located at 245 South Stuart Highway, Old Timers,
