The guest on The Fine Line on the 26th November 2013 was Central Craft’s chairperson Tara Leckey, who has been instrumental in setting up Central Crafts’ newest weekly group Clay Days.
Clay Days started after a weekend of workshops funded through a Quick Response grant from Arts NT when Central Craft was fortunate to have renowned potter Phil Elson from Castlemaine in Victoria deliver a series of wheel throwing workshops. Phil Elson works with fine porcelain and his workshops inspired Tara to set up the Clay Days group.
The Clay Days group meets on a Saturday morning at Central Craft in their ceramic studio from 10am until 1.00pm.
