Be part of the first Alice Springs Pride Carnival on the banks of the iconic Todd River at Snow Kenna Park in Alice Springs.

pride carnivalePride Carnival will be the first event of its kind in Alice Springs, aiming to recognise and celebrate the sexual and gender diversity across Central Australian regional and remote communities and encourage the wider community to join us for a mardi gras style carnival in the heart of Australia.

Pride Carnival is an outdoor, all-age and family-friendly fair day from 11 – 3pm on Saturday June 1st. The carnival will have a main stage, roving performers, kids space, fashion parade, camp dog show, market stalls, workshop and discussion space, live radio broadcast, photo booth, and much more. The event will be followed by short films and a licensed after-party at the Totem Theatre.

And 8CCC will be there – so look out for the Willy Wagtail – and come and say hello, let us know your favourite program and record a station or program ID.
