Are you a songwriter or composer who would like to develop your craft?

Over a series of 3 free workshops collaborate with other Alice Springs based songwriters in a small group setting- an opportunity to share new songs in a supportive space and to reflect on songwriting process and techniques.

Hosted by peer mentors Dave Crowe (Resin Moon), Xavia Nou (Xavia) and Jeremy Conlon (Cooperblack, RAMP – MusicNT’s Regional Areas Music Program) the series will be grounded in our remote context- and what its like to work and publish your music from Alice Springs.

From electronic and orchestral to freak folk and blues, all songwriters and composers are welcome.

Mark Smith, MusicNT‘s Executive Director, and Phillip Eaton, APRA AMCOS NT Writer Services Representative, will contribute a Music Industry perspective with information about songwriting and performance royalties and opportunities such as NT Song of the Year.

Held at the 8CCC Radio Studio there will be opportunities to learn about building a national audience through the Community Radio Network and AMRAP -as well as tapping in to the ears of your local community through 8CCC’s Broadcast on 102.1fm.

Held over 3 sessions:
