Artist, Desmond Woodforde, is exhibiting at this year’s Desert Mob exhibition for the first time. Desmond is with Mimili Maku Arts and has worked on a collaborative piece, now on show at Araluen Arts Centre, that shares his family’s story about being cut of from their land ever since the Maralinga nuclear testing took place in the 1950’s and 1960s. Desmond and Mimili Maku arts worker, Angus, visit The Big Brekky to share Desmond’s story. Desert Mob, Desart‘s signature annual art festival, is curated by Hetti Perkins and Aspen Beattie and is taking place this weekend.
