Darwin Symphony Orchestra Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Jonathan Tooby, took some time out before leaving on the DSO NT Tour, to speak with the Big Brekky Show about the itinerary. Arriving in Tennant Creek on 10 April with Dr Shellie Morris AO, in a debut performance of new songs in language from a collaboration with Warumungu women Rosemary Plummer, Marlene Plummer and Miriam Frank with new arrangements by DSO Composer in Residence Netanela Mizrahi and the input of a  local children’s choir. On Saturday they’re joined at Parrtjima by local Desert Divas Catherine Satour, Casii Williams and Bronwyn Stuart. If that’s not enough, a more intimate DSO deconstructed is on at Araluen 2pm Sunday with ASWCO.
