CY-logoWhat do we mean by a sense of place? Can we put it into words?  Can art help us to interpret something that can’t be easily put into words?

This is the theme for our program today, and we are helped in this exploration by a group of Alice Springs artists, who came together for an exhibition earlier this year.  The exhibition explored each artist’s interpretation of Alice Springs; their connection to this place, this landscape, the people, the cultures.

We’ll hear from Iain Campbell, Henry Smith, Katja Pott, Nick Harder, Penelope Bergen and Amanda McMillan, talking about place through their art.  It includes presentations from an artists’ talk in Muk Muk Gallery held on the last day of the exhibition, which was titled About Alice.
