Charlie Maher Jr who has just completed his 8th marathon in Melbourne as part of IMF (Indigenous Marathon Foundation). Charlie is a proud Western Arrernte man who is a graduate of IMF. Charlie Jr together with IMF graduates, are running to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait peoples, cultural strength and achievements, to empower inspirational leaders. The foundation stives to bring about a unified and healthy Australia. The IMF was founded by Robert de Castella AO MBE, former World Marathon Champion, Australian of the Year (1983), and iconic Australian.
