What’s on at Olive Pink Botanic Gardens in March 2025?

Sam Hussey, the curator for Olive Pink Botanical Gardens, joins the show to give an update on the many things happening at OPBG this year, from big festivals to workshops and competitions, landscaping and the effects of the summer's heat. In May, the Garden will celebrate Olive Pink's life fifty years after her death. a breast cancer fundraiser.  

Local Arrernte artist, Amunda Gorey, and Curator of the Olive Pink Botanic Gardens,  Sam Hussey, chat to the Big Brekky about a series of painting workshops 'Conversations Through Art', held at the Gardens this weekend. Amunda and Myra Gorey will facilitate a painting experience from an Aboriginal perspective. The workshops are a NoFixedGallery initiative.

Curator of the Olive Pink Botanic Gardens, Sam Hussey, joins The Big Brekky Show with news of a gift shop opening at the site. Local Ethnobotanist, Peter Latz, has donated his latest book 'Tough, Tantalizing or Tasty' to the Garden to sell. Tune in to hear more about the Garden's community and activities to support native plant species and reduce the presence of weed species, particularly Buffel Grass.
