Bushfire season has had an early start in the Barkly and, with a few longterm volunteers recently relocating, Tennant Creek Captain Justin Hankinson is putting the callout for new volunteers to put their hand up to join their local volunteer bushfire brigade.
Volunteers are required both on and off the ‘field’, with full training and mentorship supplied, and they play an important role in keeping people, animals and Country safe right across the region.
