8CCC are working with Multicultural Community Services of Central Australia and the Alice Springs Town Council to bring you a special multicultural festival on Saturday 31 May. Jam packed with lots of activities for kids, entertainment and food, with film screenings on after the sun sets.
During the afternoon, there will be hair braiding, henna tattooing and face painting; or you can create a balloon animal. And all afternoon there will be plenty of entertainment from the main stage, with music, dance, parades and other performances.
8CCC is involved in lots of ways. Jen, the presenter of The Fine Line will be talking with people about national costumes for our local craft program, on stage we will be giving you tasters of the multicultural programs on 8CCC including Moin Moin, V for World and Local Connections Live, and we will be inviting you to tell your story for the Many Voices One Place radio project, or to tell us your favourite local band or artist. We’d love to have a chat so look out for the 8CCC willy wagtail logo and say hello – at the stall, or any of the 8CCC volunteers who will be wearing an 8CCC logo on their shirts. you can find out about how to get involved with 8CCC, the range of programs you can tune in to – made by locals for locals.
