Over 38 years, Central Craft has acquired over 200 pieces created by notable Territory and Interstate craftspeople, through the Alice Craft Acquisition – an annual exhibition. Craftspeople and long term members of Central Craft, Philomena Hali, Faye Alexander and Tara Leckey had the task of selecting some of these pieces for a retrospective exhibition which they called ‘Exquisite’. In this Centralian Yarn, Phil, Faye and Tara walk around the exhibition, reflecting on their involvement with Central Craft, the development of their own craft, and their friendship and creative collaborations over the years.
This program is dedicated to all the members of Central Craft, past and present, and those people who have exhibited their work in exhibitions run by Central Craft over their history.
