Its the season for local markets, carnivals and fun, and 8CCC volunteers enjoyed being part of Central Craft’s Wrapt in Christmas event on 7th December. With over 40 stalls of handmade items, food and drinks, there was plenty to choose from, and plenty of crafty people to chat with during the day with live crosses to the 8CCC studio.
We were entertained by members of the NT Music School Choir, and recorded a ukelele driven rendition of Feliz Navidad – tune in to 102.1FM and have a listen to this and an array of seasonal messages from locals in Tennant Creek and Alice Springs between now and the end of 2013.
The 8CCC stall was busy with people recording station announcements and program announcements, including for the new craft program The Fine Line. We also recorded some more stories for Many Voices One Place. Thanks for dropping by to say hello, to sign up as a member, to chat about sponsorship, programs, training …. We’ll be holding another stall at the Alice Springs Christmas Carnival on friday 13th so look out for the gossip bird and say hello!
