Alice Springs/Mbantua is the traditional home of the Arrente people and people from many other cultures and language groups also have made this place their home. In today’s Centralian Yarn, we hear from people who were amongst the happy crowd of over 350 people celebrating our diverse community at the Big Day Out in Harmony in Alice Springs on 20th April.
This event was also the launch of a project called Many Voices One Place, 8CCC working with the Multicultural Community Services of Central Australia to gather stories from people who were born in places other than Alice Springs or Tennant Creek, who now call this place home. We hear some of those stories today, and invite you to be a part of this project.
