Some of Mparntwe’s favourite folk musicians will be joining forces as part of the intimate finale of Sally Balfour’s first Territory-wide tour and the launch of a fresh single from Katie Harder at the Watertank Cafe in Alice Springs tomorrow night from 6pm, with live music from 7pm.
8CCC’s Kate Lyons-Dawson spoke to Gleny Rae Virus on Big Brekky today ahead of the dinner, folk music and story-telling show at the home of the Alice Springs Folk Club.
Along with Gleny Rae Virus, the show features the last gig of Sally Balfour’s tour, the launch of the latest soulful tunes from soulful songstress Katie Harder, who is also launching her new single Oceans Roar on the night, as well as a special guest appearance by cellist Xavia.
Tickets are selling fast for the show at the Watertank Cafe on Thursday night, at $50 for the general public and $40 for Alice Springs Folk Club members.
