8CCC Feature Album of the week comes from local musician extraordinaire Dave Crowe. Written in his desert studio on Arrernte Country and recorded across LA, Alice Springs, Perth and Melbourne, Infinity Has A Warmth traces a journey of soul searching, a quiet exploration of the spaces between the seen and unseen. Each song feels like a meditation on the unknown, an inward gaze that reaches toward something vast and indefinable.A multi-award-winning artist with eight NT Music Awards and an International Songwriting Award, Crowe is perhaps best known for his acclaimed electronic-pop project Resin Moon. But this solo album, more than a decade in the making, reveals a deeper layer of his artistry—thoughtful, melodic, and emotionally resonant. Following his overseas jaunt as an Australian delegate at Reeperbahn Festival, Crowe launched his 14-track album live in the Central Australian desert at White Gums, Alice Springs on 25 October 2025. A captivating balance of pop appeal and artistic depth, from single Peace Flags and Perspectives - a moving collaboration with Grammy-award winning producer Franc Tetaz and bassist Jasper Leak - to songs Sharp Light, Spinifex Spines and AIR, which move into the realm of jazz-influenced art-pop, there is much to contemplate and enjoy. Other credits include Kemy Ogendi on backing vocals, Ed Gould and Alex McLean on sax, Xavia on cello and An other Page co-written with Holly Wyatt."The piano is an instrument that I’ve found endlessly inspiring since I was just a kid, and is totally under appreciated and under utilised in the indie pop scene right now...I’m so proud of the depth of [the] sounds and textures weaved into the songs, but it’s also been daunting trying a new sound and moving away from jangly, guitar-driven indie-folk."Out now on all streaming platforms.
